Oktoberfest in Florence, Oregon – 2015
Oktoberfest is coming to Florence, Oregon Saturday, October 3rd, 2015 beginning at 8:30 a.m. This is a festive, Florence, fall event you won’t want to miss! Wow…festive, Florence, fall…say that five times fast, then come join the harvest celebration at Florence’s Oktoberfest!
Oktoberfest has its origin as a traditional autumn festival held in Munich, Germany, every October that features beer-drinking and merrymaking. Now, many towns all over the place celebrate Oktoberfest with their own special flare!
Florence’s Oktoberfest along the Oregon Coast starts in the morning at 8:30 am with a pancake breakfast hosted by the Kiwanis Club until 11:00 am when the Bavarian food offerings begin. Enjoy and celebrate with a great line up of Bavarian music, traditional German food, weiner dog races and of course plenty of beir & wein!
New to the musical line-up this year are the Alpine Echoes Band, along with crowd favorites: Sam’s Polka Gems and the Triloean Dancers. This is fabulous music that will seep into your soul and move your soles!
Additionally, there will be vendor booths, contests (including a weiner dog contest) and fun activities as part of the festive European atmosphere here along the beautiful Oregon Coast.
This year’s annual festivities are hosted by the Florence Chamber of Commerce at the Florence Events Center. Stay tuned for more details here.
Admission is $10 for the all day event. The $10 includes breakfast. After 11:00 am, the price decreases to only $5! What an affordable way to have a splendid time this autumn with the ones you adore!
The doors close at 7:00 pm. So, mark your calendars, grab your friends and family, don your dancing shoes, and get ready to eat, drink and dance your heart out at 2015’s Florence Oktoberfest!
