· Whale Watching – December 26-January 1
This is one of the best times to visit one of 24 “Whale Watching Spoken Here” sites where you can spot gray whales during their winter annual migrations. Volunteers are on duty to help you see the animals and offer information about their migration. Be sure to dress warmly and bring appropriate clothing for rain or shine! · Seaside Art Walk – 1st Saturday of the Month, 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Come delight in new art showings by both local and nationally-recognized artists at participating downtown Seaside galleries and shops. Just look for the “Art Walk Stop” signs where you will find food, drinks, music and much more for you to experience!

· Nativity Festival – December 2-4, 2011
Bring the entire family to view a beautiful display of Nativity Scenes to help you get in the spirit of Christmas. The festival is open from 11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. each day and admission is FREE.

· Winter Folk Festival – January 21-22, 2012
Plan a visit to beautiful Florence, OR for the two-day folk music event which attracts musicians from all over the Northwest. Thousands of visitors come to listen to traditional folk music, bluegrass and blues music, attend jam sessions with the bands, as well as shop at the local arts and crafts fair. The Florence Events Center even offers a youth folk music competition, mule rides, pie baking contest and much, much more for you to enjoy. So bring your family for an event you won’t want to miss!
